BUSINESS PROCESS COORDINATOR AT OANDO: MONDAY, JULY 2, 2012.

VACANCY TITLE: BUSINESS PROCESS COORDINATOR
DEPARTMENT: Information & Technology

JOB PURPOSE
To design and develop business solution using optimization strategies as well as identifying where technology can be used to reduce operational cost or enhance EBITA, ensuring the organization identifies and executes world class operational approaches.
As part of the business process optimization team, the individual will be accountable for leading multifunctional teams within the business to deliver strategic business improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the business Entity and shared services heads to develop business solution to operational issues as well providing an associated cost or revenue benefit
Support in developing business optimization plan for each of the Entities and the group.
Mapping out and documentation of complex processes, to streamline the process reducing complexity using tools to define and highlight roles and responsibilities – providing clarity
To act as a Quality Assurance agent on all critical business processes within the entities and across the group.
Carrying out business critical process audits to determine process failures with recommended actions
Developing detail execution plans taking into consideration project risk and critical success factors, to realize agreed solutions
Reporting project(s) progress at an executive level, highlighting support requirements to achieve the desired results.
Working with the BIM team to review software solution for business process operational issues
Working with the BIM team to managing UAT interfaces for successful implementation of new software and upgrades for process optimization.
Design and implement change management approaches including training and coaching methodologies to ensure sustainability of implemented solutions
Using innovation and industry best practice to develop continuous improvement strategies to deliver world class business / operational approaches to enhance Oando’s competitive advantage
Carrying out operational best practice research and its application across the Oando Group, Thus including specific entity requirement for the future
To coach and develop the process analyst to become execution specialist

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
A good University degree in computer science and or business management, an MBA is desirable
5-7 year experience in business analysis / business optimization
Ability to travel and work at different locations.

JOB SUMMARY
The HCM Analyst shall work with the HCM Business Partner, and is primarily responsible for new staff resumption day preparation, providing day-to-day administrative and project management support within the department on various strategic organisation development and human performance improvement projects. He/She also has direct responsibility for processing routine recruitment-related transactions.
The incumbent shall be responsible for daily transaction processing e.g. as relates to recruitment processes for 3rd party contract staff, interview logistics for permanent staff, On-boarding efforts and document production; he processes inputs to payroll, records leave and attendance, processing of payroll deduction and benefit transactions, for all 3rd party contract staff.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment

Arrange interview venue and handle logistics and transport claims for candidates attending interviews.
Answer enquires related to applications, tests dates, test results interview dates and interview results.
Prepare invitation letters for tests and interviews.
Assist in conducting credentials’ verification of new employees and in producing verification reports for user departments
Organizing orientation and confirmation process validation for new employees.
Assist the processing of all units’ invoices and ensuring that all processes and procedures are adhered to.
Provide administrative support for periodic unit planning and budgeting activities.
Develop self, and maintain knowledge of the various Oando businesses, and current trends in Human Resource and Change Management functions.
Maintain Job Description catalogue and assist Line manager in the reviewing JD’s

Training
Responsible for the administration, documentation, processing, of all approved training programs in line with the appropriate budget.
Coordinates all vendor related interfaces and liaises with other relevant regulatory authorities/agencies like ITF.
Coordinates the processing of all program invoices and payments to third party vendors.
Oversees the successful organization of all local training programs including in-plants and off-location programs
Providing administrative support for all initiatives relating to training

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1st degree in any discipline
2 – 3 years experience within a reputable and structured business environment, preferably a multinational corporation within the Oil & Gas industry

What to expect during the program: Intensive on-the-job (OJT), classroom training, and self study programs. As part of the OJT, the candidates will work offshore alongside rig crews to gain hands-on experience and knowledge about the various tasks and processes on the rig.
Upon successful completion of the intense 24 month program, candidates will follow a flexible career path within the energy services business and ultimately leading up to management positions within the business.

OANDO PLC EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES: TUESDAY, MARCH 8, 2011.

BARGE ENGINEER / SUPERVISOR Overall purpose of the position: Monitor the weather conditions and rig motions advice OIM on conditions likely to affect drilling operations and seaworthiness of the rig.

RESPONSIBILITIES -Ensure that accurate calculation of load distribution and weights for daily stability reports are maintained -Coordinates all helicopter and supply boats traffic – supervise movement of materials and personnel to and from the rig -Ensures all navigation equipment is properly maintained and ready for use at all times -Monitors quantities of expendables such as fuel, potable water, drill water, etc -Ensures that cranes are in safe working condition -Ensures all safety equipment, including lifeboats and fire-fighting equipment is in a state of operational readiness at all times -Actively participates in the daily operations meeting with the OIM and other rig department heads -Operates and maintains the bulk system as required -Supervises tests on firefighting equipment, obstacle lighting and audible signal -Ensures all lifting gears are inspected and certified, correctly colour coded, maintained, and stowed properly -Prepares and supervises rig move plans, anchor pattern, and associated mobilization preparations -For jack up rigs, prepares the pre-load calculations and carry out jacking operation s taking note weather and sea condition -Ensures that daily marine logs are accurate end completed. Forward copies of these reports to the shore-base office -Ensures that all flag State, Classification Society, statutory regulation, and minimum manning requirements are complied with -Coordinates and supervises periodic inspections of the rig’s structure, including hull compartments and critical joints -Assists in the effective management of the Preventive Maintenance System and ensures all record are properly maintained -Supervises the operation and maintenance of pollution control system -Prepares Job Safety Analysis for hazardous marine operations

POSITION AND PERSON SPECIFICATIONS: -Bsc of Science in Engineering, numeric sciences or High school diploma / professional equipment equivalent. Work experience and demonstrated ability of oral and written communications may be submitted in lieu of formal education -Knowledge of all technical calculations required for the safe operation of the marine aspect of the drilling unit -Basic computer skills -Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates -This position requires an individual with exceptional organization skills

JOB SUMMARY The Accounts Payables Officer is responsible for processing all third party and internal vouchers, staff expense claims as well as the coding of petty cash expenses.

Responsibility for reviewing and processing all expense statements are also essential job components.

(Note: All candidates with less than 3 years post NYSC will be required to pass an aptitude test before they can be considered for interview)

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Generating of invoices in Oracle for approved vendor’s bills and staff claims and processing them in line with company’s policy Liaise with relevant Shared Service departments to ensure invoices are received on time for payment Raising debit & Credit Notes as appropriate and ensuring appropriate journal entries are made in respect of various transactions involving Intra-company, Intercompany and suppliers. Processing withholding tax (WHT), VAT and Payroll Deductions. Follow-up with banks for WHT receipt, credit note and evidence of filing of VAT with FIRS Responsible for Cash office Functions, Including Daily Cash count and Float reimbursement Monitoring of staff advances and inform payroll of long outstanding cash advances for recovery from staff salaries Cary out Bank reconciliation, investigate and clear all outstanding Items Review of Bank charges & Correspondence with Banks on refunds Prepare financial reports, schedules and proof of relevant accounts in the general Ledger. Prepare schedule of outstanding payments on daily basis and seek approval for payment.

Raise requisition on Oracle for necessary approvals Maintain good documentation standard that assures ease of retrieval Carry out other finance function as may be assigned from time to time by the Financial Accountant

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 1st degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or any Social Science discipline. 1 – 2 years cognate work experience within a reputable and structured business environment ACA will be an added advantage
