B.Sc. or HND in Economics, socio-economic development, development planning, financial management or other related fields of work

JOB TITLE: MINDSET CHANGE AND REORIENTATION COORDINATORVACANCY REFERENCE CODE: UNOPS/VA/2011-020

RESPONSIBILITIES
Individuals must demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of their field of discipline. Also must be able to:
Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students when necessary.

System Administration/System Engineer with certificate in Unix and Microsoft

Individual will provide secreteriat support and ensure timely documentations in support of centre activities

3 years Experience in financial/human resources management

JOB TITLE: PRINCIPAL OFFICER, COMMUNITY RELATIONSVACANCY REFERENCE CODE: UNOPS/VA/2011-008
LOCATION: Abuja
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Principal officer, Community Relations will liaise between benefeciary communities and the centre
He/She shall advice on centre policies asit affects beneficiary communities.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
B.Sc or HND in Humanities
5 years working experience
Excellent intermediary skills
Excellent verbal and written skills

JOB TITLE: PRINCIPAL OFFICER, VOCATIONAL TRAININGVACANCY REFERENCE CODE: UNOPS/VA/2011-006
LOCATION: Abuja
RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual shall plan and organise instructions in the way that maximize student learning, employing appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter to students
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree or HND, preferably in technical and vocational education (TVE)
5 years of full-time experience in teaching of vocational education.
Excellent verbal and written skills
Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic Backgrounds of centre students and employees
Good understanding of business environment and specifically the technical and vocational training institutions

JOB TITLE: HEAD, COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENTVACANCY REFERENCE CODE: UNOPS/VA/2011-005
LOCATION: Abuja
RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual will contribute to the development of relevant training programmes for the implementation by the local partners on community and social development.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree of any Social Sciences Discipline
Minimum 5 years experience in similar relevant position;including experience in community development work, conflict management, stake holder workshops, community training, data collection, and baseline studies.

JOB TITLE: HEAD, WORKING AND HOUSINGVACANCY REFERENCE CODE: UNOPS/VA/2011-004
LOCATION: Abuja
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises the centre projects
Ensures the maintenance of buildings, roads, and drainage systems and general infrastructure in the centre
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
M.Sc civil Engineering
Over 6 years of experience with advanced technical knowledge in civil and/or structural engineering, or
10 years experience in design and construction, in both Public and private sectors

JOB TITLE: HEAD, VOCATIONAL, TECHNICAL AND ENTREPRENUERAL EDUCATION
VACANCY REFERENCE CODE: UNOPS/VA/2011-003
LOCATION: Abuja
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises vocational-related academic divisions, VTE and other related grants and contracts.
The individual will be expected to access community needs, plan, develop and implement innovative partnership with business/industry to foster a supportive economic environment
Qualifications/Experience
Master’s Degree, preferably in academic area related to assignment
Minimum of 10 to 15 years of previous job experience relevant to the function in relevant fields of work

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides secretariat support
Oversees the Financial and Human Resource management of the centre
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
BA or B.Sc degree in humanities or Social Sciences from a recognised university
10years relevant experience preferably in an academic institution

JOB TITLE: CENTRE MANAGERVACANCY REFERENCE CODE: UNOPS/VA/2011-001
LOCATION: Abuja
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the management of the centre
Ensures quality and training
Maintenance of Accreditation standards in keeping with accreditation bodies
The individual will be expected to liaise with the centre’s board of trustees and partners
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Advanced degree in Educational management, Business Administration, Social Sciences and any other related subjects from a recognised University
15 years experience in management of technical and skills development institutions
